An ancient building constructed by the Aragonites, when queen Bona Sforza, in the first half of ‘500 imposed to all the coasting cities, from Naples to Otranto, to hold the Posta. And along the “Via del Procaccia”, street for the rapid flow that encompassed from the outside the walls of Ostuni, was erected CAMPOSADA », post station destined to the reception and rest of couriers, royal officials, tax collectors, passing soldiers. It maintained the function when it became the property of the Zevallos counts from 1630 to 1810 and afterwards to the community of Ostuni. The crest that characterises the portal and the indoor chambers and represents two climbing lions next to a pit with pulley and bucket, symbolises the peace.
An ancient inscription, consummated by time, said QUISQUIS HUC VENIT, HUC REDIET (who comes here, will return).
Sant’Eligio, the Saint protector of ferriers and goldsmiths, was the name given in time by the people.
After a century of abandonment, the post stations returns to live in a RELAIS that is the cherry on the cake of the receptivity of Ostuni. Collocated at the feet of the historic centre, in the shadow of the antique defence walls, it is embraced by the magic whiteness of the ancient town, by the silvery green of one million and a half olive trees, the most ancient of the Mediterranean, by the blue of the sky and de sea and by the splendour of the light of Apulia. Once shepherds' lodging and refuge of the animals, the 11 rooms today are spacious environments, peaceful, refined and provided of every kind of comfort.
The rooms are all provided of bath and private services, air conditioned/heating, Sat color TV, frigobar, hair dryer, tea/coffe machines. Daily cleaning with daily change of bath-linen.
A detail: every room is furnished in original way, different from the others and it takes the name of a flower.

BUFFET BREAKFAST is served to until 12 noon, either in the breakfast room, on the terrace, or in the garden. Authentic cooking and homemade cakes, tipical food (mozzarella, tomato, "taralli", home cheese etc..); all combined with the aroma of freshly made coffee to make each breakfast a special occasion....
RESTAURANT: During your stay you can choice (day per day) to have lunch or dinner in 3 different restaurant: "Casa L'Ovile situated in the masseria, it offers friendly ambient with very tipical food (from may to october we organize on the terrace tipical apulia buffet with folkloristic show, fish candle dinner with live music, meat dinner with dance etc...); "La Sparacima": situated in historical centre of Ostuni, it offers elegant ambient in a small restaurant (just 20 place) with regional dishes. "Lido Bizarro": situated directly on the sea, it offers informal ambient with very good fishe food and "italian pizza".
PIANO BAR: Your host, Gaetano, a true Neapolitan, will serenade you with his music in the balmy summer evenings. After supper - and until midnight - the maestro will play and sing for you a selection ranging from Neapolitan classics to great international songs. The relaxed atmosphere is conducive to tasting one of the many cocktail mixed by our barman.
BEACH: the sandy beach is only 800 m. from the hotel and is reached by the Masseria free shuttle service.We give directly to our guestes chairs and sun umbrella.
SHUTTLE SERVICE: During the day there is a free shuttle service to and come back from historical centre of Ostuni (when you want asking the reception). We organize also, pick-up from Ostuni train station (no charge) and pick-up from Brindisi Airport (euro 30,00 one way) and Bari Airport (euro 60,00 one way).
