Così dichiarava Dante Alighieri, il più famoso cittadino fiorentino, nella sua Divina Commedia, (Inferno Canto XXIII), orgoglioso dei propri natali. E al sommo poeta è dedicato il Soggiorno “A Casa di Dante”. Completamente rinnovato ed aperto nel 2002, il Bed & breakfast - soggiorno "A Casa di Dante" situato in un bellissimo palazzo del 18° secolo offre la possibilità di vivere la magica atmosfera e il calore di una originale dimora fiorentina...

Le camere :

Le camere del Bed and Breakfast "A Casa di Dante", ognuna dedicata ai personaggi più famosi della Divina Commedia - Paolo e Francesca, Virgilio, Dante, Beatrice e Guido Cavalcanti - sono tutte dotate di bagno privato e arredate con mobili in stile fiorentino, dispongono di televisore a colori, asciugacapelli e aria condizionata. Tutte sono spaziose e molto accoglienti.

Di grande effetto la Suite Paradiso, camera in torre con vista sulle colline di Fiesole.
Ogni ospite può scegliere tra camera a due letti o matrimoniale e godere dela senzazione di "trovarsi a casa propria". Lo staff infatti provvede ad accogliere i priopri ospiti in una atmosfera gioviale e amichevole.

A piedi è possibile raggiungere Piazza del Duomo, la Galleria dell'Accademia (con il David di Michelangelo) e il caratteristico quartiere di San Lorenzo in soli 10 minuti, così come la zona delle Fiere e dei Congressi (Fortezza da Basso e Palazzo dei Congressi).

had written the most famous florentine, Dante Alighieri in his Masterpiece 'The Divine Comedy' - Inferno Canto XXIII - very proud to be from Florence and to him it is dedicated our guesthouse 'A casa di Dante'. Opened in 2002 in a beautifully restored 18th century building, the Bed & Breakfast 'A casa di Dante' offers you the magic atmosphere and the charm of living in a Florentine home.

The Rooms:

All the rooms and bathrooms of our Bed and Breakfast have been recently renovated and are furnished in the tipical florentine style with private bath, shower or tub, hairdryer, color TV, air conditioning. Rooms are spacious and with the original floor.
Each room is dedicated to one of the characters of the Divine Comedy: Beatrice, Virgilio, Dante, Guido Cavalcanti, Paolo e Franscesca and the beautiful Suite - the Paradise suite - with a splendid view over the Fiesole hills.

Our guests can choose between double or twin rooms, they are all shining and tourists may feel as if they were at their own house. The staff is delighted to welcome you in our friendly and familiar atmosphere.

A casa di Dante is located in a residential area, next to the famous restaurants like Alfredo and Perseus, shops and supermarket are nearby. The Bed and Breakfast is very close to the historical center of Florence, near San Marco and the Academy Gallery (where Michelangelo's David is exposed), in 10 minutes walking you reach the Cathedral and San Lorenzo, in 15 minutes Pitti Palace. The Fortezza da Basso and the Congress Palace are easily reachable on foot in 10 minutes walking. Many busses available to Fiesole and Piazzale Michelangelo.

Casa Rovai - Guest House

Six spacious rooms in a large, quiet apartment located on the first floor of a historical palace in the heart of Florence. The property is just a few steps away from the Duomo and Santa Croce Church. It has been in current owner’s family since the beginning of the 1900s.
Completely restructured in 2005, the apartment offers single, double and triple rooms (each with its own private bathroom), a large breakfast room and a living room for relaxing in. Casa Rovai is tastefully decorated with original 19th and 20th century furniture.
Our Rooms
1. La Passione: This room is named “the Passion” after the late sixteenth century frescoes representing scenes of the Via Crucis that can be found on the bedroom walls. It is a double room with an en-suite bathroom.
2. Il Giglio: The red lily, the emblem of Florence, adorns the ceiling of this large double/triple room. There is an en-suite bathroom and a sofa-bed. This room is particularly suitable for families.
3. Il Glicine: A large double room, with en-suite bathroom and a put–me–up chair is furnished in a more contemporary, twentieth-century style. Upon request this room and the following one can be made inter-connecting, making it suitable for groups of friends or large families.
4. La Lira: This ancient instrument dominates the elegant fresco on the ceiling of this neo-classical room, depicting also bows, arrows and seasonal fruits. It is a single room, with private bathroom (just outside) and upon request can be joined to the former room.
5. I Putti: Two embracing angels encircle the late eighteenth century ceiling decoration of this room. It can be made into a large double, triple or quadruple room, with a leather sofa-bed. The en-suite bathroom and shower-room are separate.
6. Studiolo: A pretty single room with a wrought-iron French bed and frescoed ceiling, with a private bathroom just outside.

Our 5 bright and large rooms, are fine furnished according to the tuscan charm. The floors are in " cotto of Impruneta "and make an hot and pleasant atmosphere. Each room is provided of private bath with hair dryer, air conditioning, color TV, mini-bar.
